Purdicom Announces New Partnership with Newbury Soup Kitchen

Keen to support the local community, Purdicom is proud to announce it’s new partnership with Newbury Soup Kitchen (NSK), a Newbury based charity who provide hot meals and support to those in need.

Opened In January 2017, Meryl Praill has been running Newbury Soup Kitchen for over eight years and recently was awarded an MBE for her commitment to the charity. As a well-known, award-winning local charity, NSK has strong connections with its community as it continues to be a key contributor such as setting up Newbury Soup Dragons. This is a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative which companies pledge monthly contributions towards which will help them meet their social and environmental goals.

With this partnership, NSK and Purdicom have a shared commitment to helping others, reflected in Purdicom’s values such as demonstrating empathy for everyone and showing respect.

As the new partnership between Purdicom and NSK gets underway Hugh Garrod, Managing Director at Purdicom believes building these connections is key to growth.

Newbury Soup Kitchen is a very respected member of the Newbury community; we are very much looking forward to what we hope is a long-standing partnership. By associating ourselves with NSK, we are emphasising how determined we are to bring into focus our values here at Purdicom.”

Meryl Praill added “I’ve always believed that homelessness and poverty are community issues and must be recognised as such. The Newbury Soup Kitchen corporate breakfast club, Newbury Soup Dragons, is made up of wonderful, caring companies that value their corporate social responsibility.

Together, we are making a real difference in the lives of those in our community who face chaos and fear daily.

We’re especially proud to have Purdicom as part of our team, offering compassion and support not only to those in need but also helping secure a long, healthy future for Newbury Soup Kitchen in West Berkshire for years to come.

Thank you for all your support.
