All standard ICX 8100 models are available in two main variants, either 1G (non-stackable), or 10G stackable (up to 4 units) as denoted with an “X” at the end of the SKU. In addition, some models in both the ICX 8100 switch series are also available in purpose-built AV versions with factory-default hardware configs optimised for simple deployment in professional audio/video installations. AV models are indicated with a “-V” at the end of the SKU and are NOT available in a stackable X variant.
IMPORTANT NOTE: While the dedicated AV models in the 8100 are not stackable, all models in the 8200 range are stackable up to 12 units by default – please see our dedicated ICX 8200 switch page for more information, and if you need additional information regarding the suitability of the 8100 switches for your specific deployment scenario, please see this article here.
