Hugh Garrod
Managing Director
Hugh Garrod, affectionately known to his staff as ‘Hugo Boss’, started his career as a commodities trader in the city before making the jump to telecoms during the early boom. Hugh’s experience includes roles at Comcast, Singapore Telecom and NTL before entering the wireless market in 2000 working for BreezeCOM which was subsequently acquired by Alvarion.
Hugh was later headhunted by the DTI Broadband Task-force where he was instrumental in the early broadband rollout across the country. In 2005 Hugh combined his wireless and broadband experience to found Purdicom.
Hugh is a great leader (and entertainer) with an awesome sense of humour.

Beyond the main man, our senior management team comprises of four exceptional leaders ahead of each primary business function. The reason the Purdicom team works so effectively together is the mix of skillsets we are so fortunate to benefit from, all of which complement each other. Matt Smith
Finance Director
Matt has been in finance since leaving University 94. He really knows numbers. A CIMA qualified accountant, Matt brings experience from a range of different sectors including hospitality and retail before moving into IT & technology. Matt has been with Purdicom since 2013 and now oversees both the Finance, IT and Operations sides of the business, managing a significant number of the team. He brings a superior level of expertise in strategy and finical forecasting and planning. What Matt doesn’t know about excel is not worth knowing!
Helen McNulty
Director of Human Resources
Helen has over 20 years’ experience in Human Resources, working across various industries including, third sector, architecture and technology. Helen has a proven track record of adding strategic value to businesses. Helen is a rock! Her ability to coach and influence on the board (and right across the business) has helped Purdicom to be recognised as a Gold Investors in People business. Ensuring that HR is taken incredibly seriously at Purdicom, she is one of the main reasons it is such an awesome place to work.
Steve Kent
Director of Sales & Marketing
Steve is our Sales & Marketing Director. Steve has been working in the IT channel his entire working career. Testament to his exceptional sales and leadership abilities, Steve started at Purdicom as a Major Account Manager, swiftly progressing to Sales Manager and then promoted with a directorship. His extensive wireless industry knowledge, together with an innate ability to know what’s needed to progress and grow business is second to none. He is a huge asset to Purdicom and the companies we work with.
