On Thursday 27th June, Purdicom had the opportunity to power the RUCKUS UK Partner Day at ICC Wales. An event filled with exciting announcements, insightful presentations, and opportunities to strengthen partnerships. With a successful year behind us and a promising future ahead, here’s a look at the highlights of the day and why collaboration is key to our continued success.

RUCKUS 2023 Highlights

A Year of Growth and Innovation for RUCKUS.

The UK and Ireland (UKI) region had an outstanding year, securing the second-best performance in 2023. Notably, RUCKUS ICX experienced a remarkable 12% growth, and the education sector saw a 25% increase, demonstrating RUCKUS’ commitment to expanding their reach and impact. With the return of HSP and an overall growth rate of 9% in UKI, RUCKUS are poised for even greater achievements.

New Partnerships and Product Launches 

RUCKUS are thrilled with their partnership with British Esports, highlighting the dedication to supporting and advancing the esports community. Additionally, the launch of RUCKUS One marks a significant milestone, offering innovative solutions designed to drive business outcomes and enhance network performance.

Celebrating 20 Years of Making a RUCKUS

For two decades, RUCKUS has been at the forefront of innovation and leadership. This year, they proudly received the Innovation of the Year award for their AI-Driven Wi-Fi 7 Solution. Wi-Fi 7 brings multi-fold improvements in throughput, latency, and capacity, featuring:

  • Extremely high throughput
  • Punctured transmission
  • Multi-link operation
  • Enhanced quality of service

The AI-driven approach elevates the Wi-Fi 7 experience, proactively surfacing issues, prioritising urgent matters, and making data-driven recommendations to optimise network performance.

RUCKUS One: What’s Next

Looking ahead, RUCKUS One is set to revolutionise solutions with AI and large language models (LLMs). These purpose-driven innovations will further enhance the ability to meet the evolving needs of customers and partners.

2024 EMEA Priorities

As we move through 2024, RUCKUS’ priorities in the EMEA region include:

  • Awareness: Promoting their message of innovation and technology leadership.
  • Brand: Strengthening the RUCKUS brand equity and credibility.
  • Demand Generation: Driving demand for their entire portfolio among end-user audiences.
  • Channel Enablement: Introducing a new Channel Partner Programme to enhance collaboration.
  • Vertical Focus: Targeting key verticals to maximise their impact.

The day featured engaging presentations from industry leaders. Jussi Kiviniemi of Hamina Wireless discussed the essentials of Wi-Fi 7, including a live experiment that showcased its capabilities. Tom Dore from British Esports provided insights into the world of esports, explaining its significance and the global community it fosters.

Fire Side Chat with InTec Education

One of the highlights of the event was the fire side chat between John Sainthouse, Group Director of InTec Education, and Hasina Dhanji, WW Sales Acceleration Lead.

Afternoon Sessions and Networking

After a networking lunch, we delved deeper into the capabilities of RUCKUS One and ICX. Chris Elliott, Channel Director of EMEA, spoke about the evolving landscape of partner engagement and the need for modernised channel programs. Earl Murtagh-Naughton, Head of Marketing EMEA, outlined how partners can enhance their marketing efforts with RUCKUS, including new resources and digital themes for 2024. Discussions also covered market trends and sales strategies, emphasizing RUCKUS’ vertical approach in Education (EDU), Hospitality (HSP), Multi-Dwelling Units (MDU), Manufacturing, Warehousing, and Logistics (MWL).

Audience Interaction and Evening Celebrations

The event concluded with a dynamic Q&A session, where the audience had the opportunity to engage directly with the RUCKUS Senior Leadership team. In the evening, we enjoyed a three-course meal and a live music quiz, fostering stronger relationships and a sense of companionship among attendees.
